| The "Royale English" kennel name was started in the late 1970's when our first English Setter Am. Can. Ch. Guys 'N Dolls Solo of Sage Hill was bred to Ch. Drummont's Tasty's Billy and produced a beautiful litter of regal looking puppies and so "Royale English" came to be. Since then, we have bred many champions, group, group placing and specialty winners. We have had many English Setters in the top 10 sporting dog ratings over the years and are striving to continue to improve on what we already have. Along with the showing of our "Solo" came a need to exercise our somewhat lazy English Setter so a whippet was acquired for that purpose. She was not a show dog but a very loving companion and pet. Once "Solo" was retired to the whelping box, along came a beautiful black & White English Pointer named Ch. Marjetta's Mylestone who also was a Best in Show winner and rated in the top 10 Pointers in the country. Mylestone was retired and returned to his co-owner and a stunning lemon and white Pointer bitch came into our lives. Her name was CH. Pandel's Platinum Plus - she was exquisite and thanks to Patty Lillesand and her mother Eleanor, we came to appreciate the Pointer breed and have had a Pointer in our life ever since. The whippet got along with all the other dogs and lived to be 14 yrs. old. When "Whisper I " passed on it was felt that this household could not be without another Whippet and so we purchased a cute little puppy who is now 15 named Ch. Whippoorwill Passionate Kiss from Barbara Henderson, VMD. Whisper II was bred and the Whippet family grew. The pictures included on this website present the past, the present and the hopefuls of the future of not only the English Setters, the Whippets, and the Pointers.
